Kevin Conroy the voice of batman Died at the age of 66 after a short battle with cancer. He was an American actor, best known for the voice of the DC Universe superhero “Batman”.

He was suffering from intestinal cancer and died at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City on November 10, 2022. He is survived by his husband Vaughn C. Williams, Brother Tom Conroy, and Sister Trisha Conroy.

“Warner Bros. Animation is saddened by the loss of our dear friend Kevin Conroy”, WB animation said in a statement.

“Kevin was perfection, He was one of my favorite people on the planet, and I loved him like a brother. He truly cared for the people around him – his decency shone through everything he did. Every time I saw him or spoke with him, my spirits were elevated.” Hamill said in an emotional statement.

Kevin Conroy was born on Nov 30, 1955, in Westbury, New York. He shifted to Westport, Connecticut. He studied acting under actor John Houseman with other actors such as Kelsey Grammer and Christopher Reeve. While there, he roomed with actor and comedian Robin Williams.

Conroy started his television journey with the daytime soap opera ” Another World” and worked with several theatres and productions such as Old Globe Theatre, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, Lolita, and Eastern Standard.

As a voice actor, He performed in various media, including animated series, movies, and video games. He was best known for his starring role as Batman (Bruce Wayne) in an acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series from 1992 to 1995. He continued to voice Batman in various DC Universe Animated Original Movies such as Batman: Gotham Knight (2008), Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009), Justice League: Doom (2012), The Killing Joke (2016), and Justice League vs. the Fatal Five (2019). Also in video games “Batman: Arkham”, “injustice” and “MultiVersus”.

Batman is not the only character, He also voiced other franchises such as “Masters of the Universe” and “Scooby-Doo (2019)”, Netflix’s “Master of the universe: Revelation(2021)”, and “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2022)”.

“Kevin was far more than an actor whom I had the pleasure of casting and directing – he was a dear friend for 30+ years whose kindness and generous spirit knew no boundaries, Kevin’s warm heart, delightfully deep laugh, and pure love of life will be with me forever.” Andrea Romano (casting and dialogue director) said in a statement.
